Laura has been involved in the Human Resources community in Arizona for over 30 years and has successfully managed events and conferences with associations such as Business and Professional Women (BPW), Senior Human Resources Executive Council (SHREC), and the Arizona Society for Human Resource Management (AZ SHRM). For several years, Laura led the AZ SHRM Employment Law and Legislative Conference and the State Conference.
Laura has been an active leader in the community where she has served as a Personnel Board Member for the City of Scottsdale, a commission member and conference team member for the Commission for Judicial Performance Review (JPR), the State Council President for AZ SHRM, a publications editor for the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA), a member of the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan Local Board, a volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), an awards judge for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter in Tucson, and a volunteer for Helping Animals Live On (HALO).
Gana retired after 20 years of dedicated service to the State of Arizona. The majority of those years were spent in Human Resources supporting a Department of over 10,000 employees. She has assisted with several Human Resources events including the annual State Conference and the Employment Law and Legislative Conference for the Arizona Society for Human Resource Management (AZ SHRM). Since her retirement, Gana has enjoyed spending time with her large family and traveling Europe.
